Black and white

A black and white palette is timeless and classic. There are endless possibilities from subdued to statement-making. White pillows create contrast against a pure black banquette.  This gives off a modern and cosy feel. A kitchen with black range, fume hood, and hardware create contrast against light cabinetry and walls. Create a true monochrome palette in a kitchen with a rich black backsplash and bright white island.

Minimalistic décor

To create minimalistic décor you got to clear all surfaces of clutter. Get rid of junk and random objects. And that’s just the beginning. The dining table is another surface that tends to be a clutter magnet.

For a minimalistic décor, ask yourself what can be eliminated. Organize things according to priority. Use a colour that looks clean, fresh and makes you feel at home. White for that matter looks classy and elegant. One can use yellow or blue undertones to give a warmer or crisper look respectively.

Other than white choose a colour that will fuse well with neutral, like earthy colours of brown, greens and blues.

Bohemian décor

If you fancy hippie lifestyle then bohemian home décor is for you. This décor is influenced with artistic lifestyle, décor that is unconventional, and vintage. For bohemian décor, think lots of patterns, plants, and eclectic accessorizing.

Layering textiles, frilly cushions and sheets is a typical bohemian décor. Teal pattern and cool blues create bohemian when mixed with natural textures, like woven chairs, pendant, and shade.

This décor is eye-catching and is for those who fancy colours and patterns. A white and brown diamond grid on bold coloured upholstery creates an eccentric feel. Painting multiple squares of various colours over a white wall gives a room a gallery-like a feel.
